South by Southwest revealed the lineup for its 2026 Comedy Festival, which will take place during the 40th edition of the festival from March 12-18.
Featured performers include Adam Pally, Bill Burr, BriTANick, Chelsea Peretti, Chloe Radcliffe, Devon Walker, Eric André, Frankie Quiñones, Jake Cornell, Jared Fried, Natasha Leggero, Tina Friml, and more.
Featured presenters are to include Don’t Tell Comedy, Dropout, Funny or Die, Reductress, SmartLess, The Stand, and more.
“As part of this milestone year and the 19th edition of SXSW Comedy, the festival brings the freshest, funniest voices to Austin for a week of stand-up showcases, hilarious improv, exciting gameshows, live podcast recordings, and more,” SXSW said in a statement.
The statement continued, “There’s an unprecedented level of crossover between the comedy lineup and the broader SXSW community this year. Filmmakers and cast members, musical artists, and podcast creators are stepping onto comedy stages in dynamic new ways, fueling organic collaborations and unexpected conversations.”
SXSW Comedy Director Sam Schles is also quoted in the announcement. “This year’s lineup celebrates where comedy is headed,” Schles said. “I’m excited to help shape the next chapter of SXSW Comedy with a renewed focus on impact for both comics and audiences.”
Schles said, “We’re bringing together the new comedy vanguard and established icons who continue to redefine the craft. SXSW has always been a place for discovery, and this program captures that spirit by spotlighting emerging voices and new projects from comics at the top of their game.”
SXSW Comedy is open to all badge types. Anyone with Platinum, Innovation, Music, and Film & TV credentials can take in events at The Creek and The Cave and Esther’s Follies. The Dropout Improv Show at ACL Live at the Moody Theater on March 17 has limited availability and is open to Platinum badgeholders only.
