SAN ANTONIO (KTSA News) — The National Weather Service is urging caution as a Red Flag Warning will be in effect from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday.

This means conditions for outdoor fires to spread quickly will be present, and the area most at risk includes the Hill Country north and west of San Antonio.

Wind gusts of up to 15 mph will be present in some areas of the Edwards Plateau and Rio Grande Plains. Relative humidity in some places could get down to 13%, and this will contribute to very dry fuels that could lead to wildfires.

Temperatures on Thursday will remain unseasonably warm with some places reaching the mid 90s.

What you need to know:

Any fires that develop could be difficult to control and spread rapidly.
Avoid any outdoor activities that could inadvertently cause wildfires.
