LAWRENCE, Kan. (KCBD) – Fourth-quarter struggles continued for the No. 20 Texas Tech Lady Raiders (24-6, 11-6 Big 12). Wednesday night in Allen Fieldhouse, they were outscored 20-7 in the fourth quarter and fell to the Kansas Jayhawks 68-59 splitting the season series.
The Lady Raiders were also in foul trouble throughout the second half. While Jalynn Bristow and Denae Fritz fouled out, Snudda Collins, Jada Malone and Sarenge Sanogo all had four each.
Tech lead throughout most of the contest, until 3:29 remaining in the game when S’Mya Nichols hit both free throws. From there, the Jayhawks stayed ahead for the rest of the game.
Sonogo led the Lady Raiders with 16 points, Collins had 11, and Bailey Maupin had 10.
The Lady Raiders close out the regular season 2 p.m. Sunday at the United Supermarkets Arena and will host Arizona State.
