March is blooming with opportunities to explore art, culture, and nature with the Plano Public Library.
From preschool to professional, Plano Public Library (PPL) has something for everyone. Take a look at PPL’s free programs –offered both in-person and virtually – for all your educating and entertaining needs:
1. Create Art That Brings the Community Together (All Ages)
This March, Plano Public Library invites families to explore creativity through the April Art: Five Senses series. Hands-on art programs inspired by the five senses. Each session contributes to a large-scale community art mural that will be unveiled during the Library Art Experience on April 11th, making every participant part of a shared masterpiece.

2. Hatch Day! (Families)
Celebrate spring with an egg-citing afternoon at the library as we welcome newly hatched baby chicks! Families are invited to learn about the life cycle of chickens, ask questions, and enjoy a rare up-close experience with live chicks in a fun, educational setting.
Free tickets are required and will be available 30 minutes before the program begins. To ensure an in-person encounter with the chicks, families should arrive no later than 3:30 pm.

3. Enjoy an Evening with the Plano Symphony Orchestra (Families)
Families are invited to enjoy a special storytime with a trio from the Plano Symphony Orchestra, featuring live classical and movie music woven into a themed storytelling experience. Children will see instruments up close, learn how they work, and even have opportunities to participate.
Space is limited, so be sure to arrive 30 minutes early to collect your free ticket.

4. Discover Native Texas Mammals (Grades K-8)
Young learners are invited to explore the wildlife that calls Texas home in this hands-on educational program. Participants will learn about the behaviors and habitats of native mammals, including coyotes, bobcats, raccoons, bison, foxes and opossums, through interactive activities designed for grades K-8.
Presented by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, this program offers an engaging way for kids to connect science, nature, and Texas ecology.

5. Bubble Science Spectacular (Families)
Get ready to be amazed as Bernie the Bubble Lady brings bubbles to life in a show that’s equal parts science and spectacle. Families will watch bubbles grow bigger and bigger while learning the fascinating science behind how bubbles form, stretch and float.
This interactive program blends hands-on learning with jaw-dropping visuals, making it a memorable experience for curious kids and grown-ups alike. Free tickets are required and can be collected at the front desk 30 minutes prior to the program.
