A 22-year-old man has been arrested on a murder charge in connection with a 2024 shooting outside a Fort Worth strip mall, according to jail records.
Francisco Maldonado was booked into custody on February 24, 2026, and is being held at the Belknap facility in Tarrant County, according to the Tarrant County inmate search database. The records list a murder charge under booking number 4481492, with the Fort Worth Police Department identified as the commitment authority.
Bond was listed at $0.00, indicating that a bond has not yet been set.
Maldonado is accused of the fatal shooting of 20-year-old Daniel Wilson, who was shot while leaving a store at 2321 Miller Avenue on the evening of November 30, 2024, according to police records cited in reporting by the Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
Wilson was transported to John Peter Smith Hospital, where he died on April 27 from complications related to his injuries, according to the same report. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner reportedly ruled the death a homicide.

The Tarrant County Criminal Court Search does not yet show the murder case, but it does reflect a 2025 “Contest Revocation” proceeding related to an evading arrest charge.
“A revocation hearing is conducted to determine whether a preponderance of credible evidence exists to believe that one or more conditions of… [parole] have been violated,” the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles website states.
The Criminal Court Search does not clearly indicate the outcome of the proceeding.
Maldonado, who is listed in jail records as being from River Oaks, faces a murder charge in the case, according to police records cited by NewsBreak.
Two other men — James Marshall Ortega, 20, and Gabriel Anthony Jimenez, 22 — were previously arrested in connection with the shooting and were indicted on murder charges in September, according to prior reporting by the FWST. Both men are being held in the Tarrant County Jail, the newspaper reported, citing jail records.
Details about Maldonado’s specific role in the shooting were not immediately available in jail records.
The investigation remains ongoing.
