If you have a child in school right now then I’m sure they are counting down the days until Spring Break and you are looking at your snack pantry in panic because you’ll need to stock up ASAP!

My son started his Spring break countdown the second winter break was over so he has already started his Summer vacation countdown! 

We usually plan road trips for spring break, but for many El Paso families Spring Break doesn’t always mean flights and beach resorts. For many, it’s road trips to Ruidoso or Cloudcroft. For others, it’s full staycation mode that includes backyard barbecues, park days, hiking trails, and letting the kids stay up just a little too late.

Spring break In El Paso Begins In March

With districts staggering their time off, Spring Break in El Paso stretches across most of March.

Students in El Paso ISD, Canutillo ISD, Clint ISD, and Fabens ISD are out March 9–20. Socorro ISD runs March 9–24. San Elizario ISD is off March 10–20, while Tornillo ISD takes one of the longer breaks from March 9–25. Ysleta ISD and Anthony ISD kicked things off earlier in the month.

College students get their turn mid-month. Both the University of Texas at El Paso and El Paso Community College observe Spring Break March 16–20, with classes resuming March 23.

Because districts are on different schedules, restaurants, movie theaters, and local attractions tend to see steady traffic all month long.
