A deadly altercation in Grand Prairie leaves two men dead and two suspects, both 18, facing capital murder charges.
GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas — Grand Prairie police are investigating a deadly shooting that left two men dead and two others facing capital murder charges.
According to the Grand Prairie Police Department, officers responded around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday to reports of gunfire in the 2400 block of South Carrier Parkway. When they arrived, police found an adult man in a parking lot with apparent gunshot wounds. He was taken to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, police said.
A second man, who was also shot, left the scene before being taken to another hospital, where he also died, according to Grand Prairie PD.
Detectives determined the two men exchanged gunfire after a verbal altercation. Police say a third person, an acquaintance of one of the men, also opened fire before fleeing with another suspect.
Officers later located the two suspects, identified as 18-year-olds Cameron Mills and Jeremiah Anderson. Both were taken into custody and charged with capital murder.
The Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office will release the names of the two deceased victims once their families have been notified.
