Dallas PULSE secures new investments from notable figures like Mavs Head Coach Jason Kidd, sparking momentum in women’s pro volleyball.

DALLAS — Dallas PULSE, North Texas’ professional women’s volleyball team, is getting a boost from some familiar and influential names.

The club announced it has secured new strategic investments, with Dallas Mavericks head coach and NBA Hall of Famer Jason Kidd, along with other former professional athletes and business leaders who say they believe in the future of women’s professional volleyball in the region. Kidd is also part of an ownership that owns Premier League club Everton.

The move signals growing momentum for Dallas PULSE and Major League Volleyball (MLV), while also tightening the team’s ties to the North Texas community and national reach.

“We’re intentional about the team and partners we are bringing into Dallas PULSE,” CEO Grady Raskin said. “This is about adding the right voices, the right relationships, and the right advocates who can help us grow the sport on a professional level in North Texas.”

Raskin said investor partners like Kidd, women’s basketball Hall of Famer Nancy Lieberman, and other leaders bring credibility, integrity, and community connection, along with a shared belief in what women’s professional volleyball can become in North Texas.

Kidd’s involvement is also personal.

He and his wife, Porschla Kidd, have a daughter who plays volleyball, and the family has shown a strong commitment to supporting women’s sports. Kidd recently announced the launch of Jason Kidd Select South, a North Texas–based program aimed at developing elite players and expanding opportunities for female athletes.

Lieberman has been an ambassador for the PULSE franchise since 2024.

In a short time, Dallas PULSE has carved out a reputation as one of the most exciting new professional teams in North Texas sports.

On the court, the results are already showing. In its inaugural season, the PULSE sits in second place in Major League Volleyball.

Team officials say that early success supports a long-term vision centered on growing the game, expanding career opportunities for female athletes, creating role models for young girls, and delivering an engaging experience for fans of all ages.

Fans will get the next chance to see the team at home on Friday, February 27, when Dallas PULSE hosts the league’s defending champions, the Orlando Valkyries, at Comerica Center in Frisco. First serve is set for 7 p.m.
