An Arlington man was arrested last week in connection with a fatal fentanyl overdose in Mansfield, police said.
Officers responded to a report of an unresponsive person found inside a car in a parking lot in the 700 block of Debbie Lane on Nov. 5, Mansfield police said in a news release.
The overdose victim, identified as 38-year-old Danny Figueroa, was found dead inside the car, police said.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office determined Figueroa died as the result of fentanyl and cocaine toxicity.
Investigators identified Raydell Spruill, 34, as the suspected drug supplier and a warrant was issued for his arrest, police said.
Mansfield police officers along with a SWAT team served the warrant about 6 a.m. on Feb. 19 at a home in the 600 block of Ragwood Road in Arlington, police said.
Spruill was taken into custody without incident. Investigators found “contraband” and several guns inside the home, according to the release. No injuries were reported during the operation, police said.
Spruill faces multiple charges including a murder in connection with Figueroa’s death, evading arrest, possession of a controlled substance, and manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, with a total bond set at $1.225 million, according to Tarrant County jail records.
