Editor’s note: Featured pets may be adopted quickly, but there are always others ready for their forever home.

At the Humane Society of North Texas, adoption is about changing lives, one match at a time. Learn more about adoptions at HSNT’s Fort Worth and Keller locations, or at off-site adoption events held six days a week at HSNT.org.

The Humane Society of North Texas (HSNT) is celebrating connection, compassion and the simple joy that comes from giving a pet a home by participating in National Adoption Week Adopt Joy events at PetSmart locations across North Texas.

Through Oct. 26, HSNT’s adoption teams will be on-site at various PetSmart locations, including Montgomery Plaza in Fort Worth, and stores in South Arlington, Grand Prairie and Weatherford. While schedules may vary by store, each day offers new opportunities for families to meet pets waiting for their forever homes.

To make these community events possible, HSNT’s Saxe-Forte Adoption Center in Fort Worth will be closed for the week as staff focus on connecting pets with families across the region.

For HSNT, adoption is more than a match; it’s a movement. Each time a pet goes home, it means another life saved, another space opened for the next animal in need. It’s a ripple of hope that starts right here in our community and grows with every wag, purr and smile.

At these adoption events, visitors will meet pets of all sizes, ages and personalities, from playful kittens and goofy puppies to calm companions ready to curl up at your side.

PetSmart Charities National Adoption Week is about more than finding pets homes, it’s about what they bring into ours. The decision to adopt joy reaches far beyond a single household. It strengthens the fabric of a community that believes in kindness, second chances and the unspoken bond between people and pets.
