Today we’re sharing two upcoming opportunities to sample dishes created by top area chefs paired with wines from around the world. Hosted by Eataly at NorthPark Center and the Dallas Arboretum, both events will also provide a chance to support valued local organizations. Not to mention, they’re happening right in our own backyard.
Festa Della Donna
Thursday, March 5, 6 p.m.
Eataly at NorthPark Center
A signature annual event of Les Dames d’Escoffier Dallas, the Festa Della Donna raises funds to support scholarships for women in the food, fine beverage, and hospitality industries. This year’s lineup includes a dozen local chefs, including Tida Pichakron of Haute Sweets Patisserie, Andrea Shackelford of Harvest at the Masonic, and Preston Hollow favorite, Nikky Phinyawatana of Asian Mint. Wine pairings will accompany each chef’s creation, with a silent auction and whiskey pull rounding out the festivities.  Tickets for Festa Della Donna are available online, starting at $100.
Food & Wine Festival
Thursday, March 26, 6 p.m.
Dallas Arboretum
This anticipated annual event serves delicious food from local restaurants among the beautiful scenery of Dallas Blooms, the largest annual floral festival in the Southwest. Co-chaired by Chef Sharon Van Meter, this year’s participating chefs will include Sarah Carlock of Amor y Queso, Jimmy Contreras of Taco y Vino, and Chef Mollie G. Tickets for the Food & Wine Festival are available online, starting at $142 for members. Note: Support for the Dallas Arboretum is provided by memberships, donors, and the Dallas Park and Recreation Department.
