SCHERTZ, Texas – A search for a missing 19-year-old has ended in tragedy Thursday afternoon when the Schertz Police Department located a body in a field near Schwab Road and I-35 southbound.
Authorities confirmed the deceased is Zacharias Stallings, a resident of the Parkland neighborhood.

Stallings was first reported missing on October 19, 2025, after last being seen at his home on October 18 around 7:00 p.m., wearing a white t-shirt and black shorts. He was described as 5 feet 9 inches tall, 155 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes, and had a medical condition known as Asperger’s Syndrome.

At approximately 3:30 p.m. on October 23, a drone conducting an aerial search spotted a body in a field in the northwest corner of Schwab Road and I-35. Investigators said there is currently no indication of foul play, though they have been unable to determine Stallings’ destination after leaving his home, a behavior police described as unusual for him.
The Schertz Police Department asks anyone with security camera footage from the area between 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 18, and Sunday morning to come forward. Anyone with information is urged to contact the department at 210-619-1200.
