DPS Investigates Lubbock Big Rig Crash

Lubbock, TX (February 26, 2026) – 45-year-old Rolan Tomlison of Brownfield was killed in a US 62 collision Tuesday morning.

DPS officers stated that a big rig driven by a 74-year-old Lubbock man was traveling southwest on the freeway has turned into a crossover attempting to turn northeast.

The big rig stalled in the northeast-bound lanes, Tomlison’s vehicle then collided with the front right of the trailer.

Tomlison got pinned under the rear of the big rig and died at the scene.

Officers are investigating.
