Funeral: 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2026, in Greenwood’s Live Oak Chapel, 3100 White Settlement Rd., Fort Worth, TX 76107. Interment: Rehoboth Cemetery. She was born January 18, 1942, to Thomas Farley Morrow and Ethel Lorean Payne of Wichita Falls, Texas. She worked as an accounting and payroll professional for several companies before retiring from Americredit in 2007. Barbara was a long-time member of First Christian Church of Fort Worth and participated in many social organizations and community groups. She was preceded in death by Marvin E. “Joe” Batts, her husband of almost 56 years. Survivors: Daughter, Maureen Steele and her husband, Tom of Fort Worth; son, Curtis Batts and his wife, Victoria of Benbrook; daughter, Deborah Besadesky and her husband, John of Plano; grandchildren, Michael Miller and his wife, Tuesday, Jennifer Steele, Tiffany Steele and her husband, David Zamudio, Charles DeGrange, Tiffany Jackson and her husband, K.C., Elizabeth Besadesky and Kat Hewitt and her husband, Sam; eleven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren as well as church family and many friends.
