The University Interscholastic League announced an update to District 10 and District 11-4A for the 2026-28 alignment on Friday, following the withdrawal of Uplift Education from UIL athletics.

Uplift’s withdrawal left Carrollton Ranchview as the only team in District 10-4A in basketball and volleyball, so the UIL has divided the nine-team, all-Dallas ISD District 11-4A to accommodate.

The new districts are as follows:

District 10-4A: Carrollton Ranchview, Conrad, North Dallas, Pinkston and Spruce

District 11-4A: Carter, Kimball, Lincoln, Roosevelt and Wilmer Hutchins.

The new realignment should prove advantageous for Dallas ISD, which potentially could have as many as four new playoff teams in basketball and volleyball after all nine teams fought for just four spots in District 11. Now, at the very least, the school district will be guaranteed three playoff representatives from the new five-team District 10.

In football, Uplift Hampton was the lone participant from the charter district and set to compete in District 5-4A Division II. The UIL chose to leave that grouping as a four-team district, meaning Glen Rose, Hillsboro, Kemp and Venus will all make the playoffs, regardless of record.
