EL PASO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — On Tuesday, the City Council is set to discuss whether El Paso will continue using FLOCK cameras, an automated license plate reader, after people have raised privacy concerns.
On the City’s official website, a Frequently Asked Questions document addresses some of these concerns, stressing that the technology is used only to read license plates after a crime has occurred, not for immigration enforcement, and that the data is secured and not accessible to the public or to people without approved access.
The discussion was put into the meeting agenda by City Rep. Chris Canales and Lily Limon.
However, KFOX14/CBS4 would like to hear from you,
Do you think The City should keep or remove FLOCK cameras?
