Hundreds of El Pasoans lined up outside Taco Palenque on Gateway East this past Thursday for their chance to meet comedy icon Gabriel Iglesias, and some people even admitted that they started lining up as early as 7 am.

By the time the 11 a.m. meet-and-greet kicked off, the line was already wrapped around the restaurant parking lot, packed with fans holding merch, phones, and serious excitement.

From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., the newest Taco Palenque location turned into a full-on Fluffy fest. Guests grabbed the limited-time $10 Fluffy Combo, snapped selfies, shared laughs, and soaked in the high-energy vibe.

The Kill Pack Meet Their Idol, Gabriel Iglesias

For hours, it was photo after photo, hug after hug, but the line paused for a few minutes because of five tiny celebrities: Killer. Psycho. Terminator. Chaos. and Maniac. AKA “The Kill Pack”

Known as “The Kill Pack,” this squad of chihuahuas came ready for their moment. Their owners, Rosie and Joseluis Saldana, were determined to introduce them to Iglesias, who has long been open about his love for chihuahuas, especially his beloved pup, Risa.

In September 2024, Iglesias shared that Risa, his 16-year-old chihuahua and constant companion, passed away in his arms after nearly 17 years together. She was often part of his comedy routines and social media, and he’s spoken about how she was there through his highest highs and lowest lows.

A special moment for a few four-legged fans and one loved comedian

When The Kill Pack’s owners Rosie and JoseLuis heard that Fluffy was coming into town they shared posts on their Instagram account hoping that the internet would help them meet Fluffy himself!

A Fluffy Lunch Encounter Turns Into A Heartwarming Moment

Thankfully these adorable pups didn’t need any help because they were able to wait in line and meet Fluffy during the meet-and-greet.

When The Kill Pack stepped up for their turn, Fluffy lit up with excitement and shock. He stopped the line, pulled out his phone to record video, held the tiny dogs in his arms, and soaked in the moment. It was wholesome chaos in the best way.

The Kill Pack got their selfie, and judging by the smile on his face, Gabriel’s day was officially made.
