What is the North Texas Irish Festival?

The North Texas Irish Festival is an annual celebration of Celtic culture in Dallas. Produced by the Southwest Celtic Music Association, the festival has been a tradition for the past 44 years, The festival is proudly music-forward, staging a wide variety of acclaimed Irish folk, contemporary Celtic fusion, and storytelling artists.

While live music may be the centerpiece, the festival is also features a wide range of Irish festivities. Featured experiences include whiskey tastings and other beverage options, foods, retail and merchandise vendors, and other interactive cultural experiences.

Furthermore, the family friendly festival also features a range of appropriate programming. Such event include crafting activities, storytelling and readings, magic shows, educational opportunities celebrating celtic history, and more.

The festival also features a vibrant array of dancing performances as well as horse displays, sheepherding demonstrations, and feats of Gaelic football – a fast-paced game that combines elements of rugby, soccer, and basketball.

Tickets to the festival are on sale through the official website. General admission tickets are priced at $20 for adults single tickets on Friday, and $30 for day passes on Saturday and Sunday. Single-day tickets for children (6 – 11) are priced at $10 for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Weekend 3-day tickets are priced at $50 for adults, $20 for children. Children 6 and under are permitted free entrance.

From 6 pm to 7 pm on Friday, admission to the festival is complete free.
