HOUSTON, Texas – Coastal Carolina fell to Texas on Friday night 8-1 in their first of three games in the BRUCE BOLT College Classic at Daikin Park.
The Longhorns struck first with a two-run home run by Aiden Robbins in the third inning before adding a solo shot in the fourth off the bat of Temo Becerra, who finished with two home runs on the night. Texas totaled four home runs in the contest.
Coastal’s lone run came in the seventh inning when Trace Mazon crossed the plate on an RBI single from Walker Mitchell.
The Chanticleers will return to the field in Houston on Saturday to face UTSA at 4 p.m. ET.
