Arlington police made a second arrest in connection with a shooting last year that killed a pregnant woman, according to a Saturday news release from the police.
Corey Daniels, 26, was arrested Feb. 25 by the U.S. Marshals North Texas Fugitive Task Force in Arlington and is facing a capital murder charge, the release said.
On Nov. 12, 29-year-old Bre’Asia Johnson and her boyfriend were shot while traveling along Interstate 20. Johnson, pregnant at the time, was taken to a local hospital and later died. Her boyfriend was seriously injured, but recovered. Two children who were in the car at the time of the shooting were not seriously injured.
Malik Miner, 29, was arrested in December and remains in custody at the Tarrant County Jail, police said. Police found Miner was in a romantic relationship with Johnson and was following Johnson’s car before the shooting.
