The 18-year-old who was critically injured in a Feb. 24 shooting at a south Fort Worth apartment complex has died.
Officers were called to The Mirabel apartments in the 6300 block of Woodway Drive shortly before 4 p.m. They found a man with a gunshot wound, police said.
The man was taken to John Peter Smith Hospital for treatment, but died Friday from his injuries. The Tarrant County Medical Examiner identified him as Trevelle Boyer and ruled his death a homicide.
Scott Jones was arrested Feb. 24 in connection with the shooting. At the time he was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to court records. He’s being held in the Tarrant County Jail on a $100,000 bond.
