HOUSTON – Police were searching for a driver who hit and killed a woman in Southwest Houston.
The driver in a silver pickup truck ran a red light at Beechnut Street and Gessner Road at about 8:45 p.m. Saturday, according to police.
The driver hit a woman who was crossing the street and kept driving.
The woman died at the scene.
The driver had hit another car at the intersection, but they were not injured and stayed at the scene.
Police said the suspect was in a silver pickup truck that may have front-end damage.
