A Fort Worth convenience store employee was shot and critically injured during a robbery Sunday morning, police said.

Officers responded to the shooting about 8 a.m. at Stop N Save convenience store in the 5000 block of North Hampshire Blvd., police said in a statement.

Investigators determined that multiple suspects tried to rob the store and one armed suspect shot the lone employee, police said.

The store employee, who has not been identified, was taken to an area hospital in critical condition, police said.

Police said the investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been announced in this incident.

In a separate shooting at a business near Meacham International Airport, one person was killed and two people were injured early Sunday, according to police.
