EL PASO, Texas (KTSM) — El Paso Police say that while there are no credible or known threats targeting the City, they are conducting “enhanced patrol operations” following U.S.-Israeli military strikes this weekend against Iran.

El Paso Police said they were “closely monitoring recent international events” and “recognizes that developments abroad can cause understandable concern within our community.”

Enhanced patrols will be done throughout the City with “increased visibility in areas that could be targeted,” El Paso Police said.

“We will continue to maintain open lines of communication with community leaders and partner agencies to stay informed and prepared,” El Paso Police said. “We remain committed to transparency and will provide updates if necessary. The safety and security of our residents, visitors, and community partners continue to be our top priority.”
