Austin Police Department SWAT officers are responding to a barricaded subject in Central Austin.

The call reporting the incident in the 1300 block of West 24th Street came in at 3:30 p.m. Police have asked residents and motorists to avoid the area while officers remain on scene.

Police confirmed it is not related to the mass shooting on 6th Street overnight.

U.S. Marshals received a tip that a possible suspect connected to an Austin murder case from January may be at the location, according to APD.

No injuries have been reported.
