If you plan on visiting Corpus Christi during spring break, there’s tons of fun things to do in the city to stay busy.

Here are four of the Caller-Times favorite things to do in the Sparkling City by the Sea:

There are plenty of museums in Corpus Christi to check out, with all being in the same area of downtown Corpus Christi and North Beach.

Learn about the history of Corpus Christi at the Museum of Science and History, appreciate one-of-a-kind art pieces at the Art Museum of South Texas, brush up on different Hispanic countries at the Instituto de Cultura Hispánica, wonder around a World War II-vintage Essex Class aircraft carrier at the USS Lexington Museum or discover various artifacts at the Texas State Museum of Asian Cultures.

Head to the Texas State Aquarium to watch dolphins do flips, touch stingrays and take photos with jellyfish.

Plus, cool off from the warm Coastal Bend weather at the aquarium’s H-E-B Splash Park. Admittance to the water exhibit is free with entrance to the aquarium.

If you’re visiting Corpus Christi, we know you’ll be checking out some of our local beaches to soak up the sun (we have 11).

Keep in mind these guidelines while at our sandy shores:

No glass containers allowed on the beach.

As long as you are of legal drinking age, alcohol consumption is allowed.

The speed limit on the beach is 15 mph and all traffic laws apply, including driving while intoxicated.

To park on the beach, you must have a parking permit.

Dogs are not allowed on the beach from Access Road 3 to Zahn Road on the north side of the Packery Channel.

Wood pallets cannot be used to build a fire, and fire pits must be no larger than 3 feet by 3 feet by 3 feet.

There are plenty of concerts to check out in Corpus Christi during spring break at House of Rock and Brewster Street Icehouse Downtown.

House of Rock will have a Lamb of God and a Pantera tribute band tear up the stage on at 7 p.m. on March 13. At Brewster Street, jam out with country artist Wade Bowen at 8 p.m. the next day.
