Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office searching for 11-year-old girl

11-year-old located safe near her home

LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – The Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office said a missing 11-year-old girl was found with no signs of injury on Monday after going missing from her home on Sunday.

Avianna Freeman was reported missing around 6:10 p.m. on Sunday after being last seen in her yard on the 3900 block of N. CR 1700.

Initial reports indicate she ran away from her home and was walking.

On Monday, LCSO said she was found near her home.

Statement below from the LCSO

Avianna Freeman has been located. She was located just before 2pm this afternoon near her home. She does not have any obvious injuries, but she is being evaluated by medical staff as a precaution.

The Lubbock County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank all the agencies and citizens who helped search for Avianna. We are very grateful to be able to return her to her loved ones.

This is still considered an active investigation.
