LUBBOCK, Texas (KCBD) – Portions of 3rd St. and Indiana Ave. are closed due to separate road and sewer repair projects, city officials said.
3rd St. closure
3rd St. is closed between Santa Fe Dr. and Boston Ave. for road repairs. The city said the project is expected to be completed by Tuesday, March 10.
Indiana Ave. closure
The City of Lubbock Water Utilities crews will close northbound lanes on Indiana Avenue from 34th St. to 35th St. Tuesday to make emergency repairs to a sewer line. Two eastbound lanes and the westbound left turn lane on 34th St. will also be closed during that time.
Work on Indiana Ave. is expected to be completed by Tuesday, weather permitting.
Crews are asking drivers in both areas to use alternate routes. Those who travel through the affected areas are advised to eliminate distractions and allow extra travel time due to delays.
