Two children biking to school collided with a vehicle – NBC 5 Dallas-Fort Worth

Two children on bicycles were involved in a traffic incident Monday morning on their way to school, the Melissa Police Department said. 

Melissa ISD says the kids were biking to Sumeer Elementary when they collided with a vehicle around 7:50 a.m. 

The children were transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. 

The incident occurred at the intersection of Eaglestone Drive and Valley Run and was not in a school zone, police said.

Police said the driver of the vehicle stayed on the scene after the incident.

The incident is still under investigation by the Melissa Police Department.
