A 72-year-old Corpus Christi man was killed in a head-on crash Friday morning on FM 624 in Live Oak County, according to DPS Sgt. Rob Mallory.
CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A 72-year-old Corpus Christi man was killed last Friday morning in a head-on crash in Live Oak County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
DPS Public Information Officer Sgt. Rob Mallory said the crash happened around 8:48 a.m. Friday on FM 624, just east of County Road 163.


Mallory said a 2019 Ford F-150 was traveling westbound on FM 624 when it failed to maintain a single lane and crossed into the eastbound lane. The pickup struck a 2020 Dodge Ram head-on, causing the Ram to roll onto its side off the roadway.
Both occupants of the Ram were trapped and required extrication, Mallory said.
The passenger in the Ram, identified as Rolando Adame, 72, of Corpus Christi, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Ram was transported to Christus Spohn Shoreline in Corpus Christi for treatment.
The male driver and female passenger of the Ford F-150 were taken to Christus Spohn in Alice with injuries. Their conditions have not been released.
The crash remains under investigation by troopers with the Highway Patrol office in George West, Mallory said.
