Arlington police are investigating a crash on Highway 360 that left a motorcyclist dead Monday evening, according to a statement.

Officers responded to reports of an accident between a car and a motorcycle around 7:40 p.m. in the northbound lanes of Highway 360 near Six Flags Drive.

The northbound lanes of Highway 360 have been reduced to one lane at Division Street. Police said drivers should expect delays and take an alternate route if possible.

The motorcyclist, who was not identified, died at the scene, the statement said.

Police did not immediately say whether the driver of the car was injured or if they plan to pursue criminal charges.

As of 8:30 p.m., police said accident investigators were on the scene to determine the cause of the wreck.

Police said they expect to release further details about the accident tomorrow.

The Arlington crash was at least the third reported accident within the past 24 hours involving a motorcycle in Dallas-Fort Worth.
