Erma Linda Herrera, 78, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 22, 2026. Erma was born on June 11, 1947, in Fort Worth, Texas, to Zosimo and Rose Herrera. As the eldest of twelve children, she lovingly helped guide her eleven brothers and sisters, setting an example of strength, kindness, and devotion to family that would define her life. Erma was known for her genuine smile and gentle spirit. She found joy in life’s simple pleasures – relaxing in her favorite chair, savoring Mexican food, and tending to beautiful flowers. Her warmth and kindness left a lasting impression on everyone who had the blessing of knowing her. She worked for many years at Montgomery Ward and Coburn’s Catering Service, where she built lasting friendships and was known for her dedication and strong work ethic. Beyond her professional life, Erma had a generous heart for service. She volunteered throughout the Fort Worth area and was a faithful member of All Saints Catholic Church and St. Ann’s Catholic Church. A devoted Sister in Christ, her Catholic faith was the cornerstone of her life. Linda’s memory will live on in the hearts of all who loved her. She is survived by her sons, Fernando “Christian” and spouse Andrew; Patrick and spouse Sandra; and Phillip; her daughter, Lisa; her beloved grandchildren, Shelby and partner Shelby G., Larissa and fiancé Tyler, Cameron, Lucas, and Rebekah; and her great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Knox. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.
