FORT WORTH

Lady Gaga has been playing for 20 years and has amassed a catalog so extensive she can assemble a two-hour show and leave a few hits on the shelf.

Some of this is by choice, as the globally popular pop star made it a priority to feature some of her new tracks from her latest album, “Mayhem,” rather than perform every track that has made her one of the best-selling artists today.

She is hardly alone in this practice.

For those who plan to see Gaga on this tour, be prepared that a concert that features 20 dancers, four acts and an endearing final encore will likely not include every single hit. On Sunday night in Fort Worth, Lady Gaga concluded her two-night performance that exhibited her range as a musician, while keeping two big songs off the list.

She did not play “The Edge of Glory” or “Hold My Hand,” the single from the soundtrack to “Top Gun: Maverick.”

That choice may cause even the most gaga Gaga fan to ask, “What the —-?!!!!”

Her “Mayhem Ball” tour show has some a few wrinkles, and offers some condensed versions of her music; this concert has more of a theatrical feel than a convention musical act.
