A Plano man is charged with assault following an incident at Emily G. Johns School on Saturday.
The Plano Police Department says 43-year-old Edward Phillips made a verbal threat to another adult during a youth basketball game.
Police were called Saturday afternoon for reports of about 10 people yelling and fighting. The victim signed a complaint with the police department, leading to the charge.
Phillips was issued a notice to appear in Kendall County Court.
