A man riding a motorcycle at a high speed in Arlington was killed after crashing with two cars on Monday, police said.
Officers responded about 7:30 p.m. to the 500 block of Texas 360 near Six Flags Drive to investigate the crash, Arlington police said in a news release.
When officers arrived, they found a 35-year-old man who was riding the motorcycle lying unresponsive near the roadway. He was pronounced dead at the scene, police said
Investigators determined that the motorcyclist was speeding northbound on Highway 360 and driving between adjacent lanes of northbound traffic when he collided with a 2015 Chevrolet Impala that was in the process of changing lanes, police said.
The impact of that crash caused the motorcyclist to hit a 2023 Honda Accord. The rider then lost control and was thrown off of the motorcycle, police said.
The drivers of both passenger cars remained on scene and were cooperative with investigators. No criminal charges have been filed against them, police said.
The man who died will be identified by the Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office after next of kin have been notified.
