A 52-year-old man is in custody after a domestic disturbance and SWAT standoff in west Fort Worth early Tuesday, March 3, police say.

A 52-year-old man is in custody Tuesday morning after a SWAT standoff in west Fort Worth, police said.

Officers responded to a domestic disturbance at a home in the 4700 block of Albermale Drive about 1:40 a.m. A married couple got into an argument, according to police, and the husband pointed a gun at his wife. The woman left the house and called 911 for help.

Nearly 30 police units were dispatched to the scene. The SWAT team was called in shortly before 4 a.m., and the suspect was taken into custody about 5:45 a.m., according to the police report.

The suspect, Jack Warren Fulcher, is being held in the Fort Worth City Jail. He faces charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and violation of bond/protective order, according to jail records.

The Family Violence Unit is investigating the incident, police said.
