Final Results

SUGAR LAND, Texas — The Missouri State men’s golf team wrapped up play Tuesday (Mar. 3) at the Colin Mongtomerie/HCU Invitational at Sweetwater Country Club, posting 297 in the final round to finish in 13th place with a 900 total for 54 holes. Senior Christian Rischer led the way for the Bears in the final round with an even-par 71, while Owen Swearingen shot 74 and Noah Naugle 75.

For the tournament, sophomore Jonathan Jordan was low for MoState, carding 75-69-77–221 to tie for 40th place. Rischer was two behind at 223 and tied for 47th, with Swearingen at 226 and tied for 61st. Freshman Pedro Gallegos shot 236 and tied for 77th while Naugle finished 80th at 237.

Howard ran away with the team title at 835 with host Houston Christian a distance second at 848. Southeastern Louisiana was third after posting 864, and North Dakota and Weber State rounded out the top five at 866.

The Bears are back in action next Monday and Tuesday (Mar. 9-10) at the Jackrabbit Invitational in Boulder City, Nev.
