SOCORRO, Texas (KFOX14/CBS4) — A 41-year-old man was arrested Monday in Socorro for allegedly owing over $46,000 in child support.
According to the El Paso Constable Office Precinct Three, Jose Jesus Zuniga was arrested at the 10400 block of Montevideo Street, near the Whataburger located at 10401 Alameda Ave., after deputies received a warrant for him for disregarding the court’s child support orders.
The Constable’s office for Precinct Three said Zuniga was arrested without incident and, in a news release, used the opportunity to remind people that while these types of warrants often get “overlooked” by other law enforcement agencies, this precinct will be on the lookout looking for people who owe child support, adding that people can call in tips through Crime Stoppers of El Paso either online at CSElPaso.org or through 915-566-8477.
