FORT WORTH – Floyd E. Anderson, 83, passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2026. Floyd was born on August 3, 1942, in Long Strout, Louisiana, to Morris and Loreline Anderson. On March 19, 1965, Floyd married the love of his life, Marjorie Story, in Dallas. Together they shared 59 devoted years of marriage, building a life centered on love, faith, and family. Floyd dedicated 32 hardworking years to Ford Motor Company, where his commitment and strong work ethic earned him the respect of colleagues and friends. After retirement, he continued to pursue his love of baseball, spending 12 fun-filled years working for the Texas Rangers. Being around the game he loved brought him great joy and countless treasured memories. In his free time, Floyd enjoyed gardening and woodworking, taking pride in creating and nurturing things with his hands. Above all, he loved and cared deeply for his family, creating many precious memories that will be cherished for generations to come. He was preceded in death by his parents, Morris and Loreline Anderson; his loving wife of 59 years, Marjorie Anderson; his brother, Carol Anderson; and his sister, Janelle Anderson. Floyd is survived by his daughters, Michelle Chennault of Key West, Florida, and Roxanne Ellis of Fort Worth, Texas; as well as three loving grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him, but his legacy of devotion, kindness, and quiet strength will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
