The University Park Village Starbucks is closed for renovations.

The store is expected to remain closed until June 2026.

Although Starbucks announced plans to close 400 locations nationwide in late 2025, this store’s closure is temporary.

According to building permits late last year, the University Park Village location is simply undergoing a remodel for expanding dining space.

Many students frequented the University Park Village location before heading to campus, making the temporary closure an adjustment for regular customers. There may also be longer wait times and increased traffic at surrounding Starbucks stores.

Victoria Zamoria, a sophomore strategic communication major, said she was unaware of the closure.

“I didn’t know this was happening,” she said. “The news came as a shock to me. I know we have a Starbucks on campus, but it’s still surprising.”

University Park Village management has not released an exact reopening date beyond June 2026.

Construction signage outside the store indicates renovations are underway, but few additional details have been provided. Representatives said updates will be shared as the project progresses.
