Tarrant County has released early voting totals for several primary races, including for Texas House District 98 and county clerk.

What you need to know

In the Republican primary for Texas House District 98, Keller Mayor Armin Mizani received 9,746 votes, 54.76%, during early voting and leads challengers Fred Tate, who received 7,477 votes, 42.01%, and Zdenka “Zee” Wilcox, who garnered 576 votes, 3.24%. If a candidate garners more than 50% during the primary, they will face the winner of the Democratic primary in the November general election.

Early voting results from the Democratic primary show Cate Brennan with 6,954 votes, 78.87%, leading Aaron Hendley, who received 1,863 votes, 21.13%. The winner of the Democratic primary will face the winner of the Republican primary in the November general election.

In the county clerk Democratic primary, Lydia Bean got 84,370 votes, 79.42%, and leads Gregoire Lewis, who received 21,865 votes, 20.58%.

Voters also cast ballots in the Republican and Democratic primaries for county judge.

What else?

In early voting, there were 213,896 ballots cast countywide, which represents 16.37% of more than 1.3 million registered voters in Tarrant County.

Totals from ballots cast March 3 have yet to be released. Polls closed at 7 p.m., although voters who were in line at 7 p.m. were still able to cast ballots.
