Teen Killed, Others Injured in Plano Vehicle Collision

Plano, TX (March 3, 2026) – Carter Heise, 15, was fatally injured in a 2-vehicle crash on Independence Parkway Monday afternoon.

Investigators determined that the driver of a blue Chevrolet Volt was speeding south when it lost control of the vehicle.

The Volt traveled onto the center median and struck a white Lincoln Navigator that was traveling north.

Carter Heise, who was a passenger in the Navigator, was killed at the scene.

Three other people who were also riding in the Navigator were rushed to the hospital in unknown condition.

Moreover, troopers said the driver of the Volt was not injured in the deadly crash.

Police are still investigating and did not say yet if the Volt’s driver will face any charges.
