ABILENE, Texas – The South Dakota State women’s golf team finished in fifth place at the West Texas Classic, which wrapped up Tuesday at the Abilene Country Club.
 
The Jackrabbits tallied a +46 final team score, one shot behind Texas El Paso, which finished fourth. Abilene Christian shot +29 over three rounds to win the team title by four shots over Bowling Green.
 
Three Jackrabbits finished in a tie for 19th place, McKenzie Mages, Molly O’Hara and Reese Jansa. They all ended with matching three-round scorecards 222 (+12). O’Hara tallied two birdies during the final lap to improve her position two spots on the individual leaderboard. 
 
Hannah Boraas posted a +15 final tally to finish 30th. Riko Danjo finished one shot back from Boraas to place in a tie for 31st place (+16).
 
NOTES


SDSU finished second as a team on par-5 holes. They averaged 4.93 strokes per par-5.
The Jackrabbits tallied 27 birdies, the third most among all teams.
Reese Jansa and Molly O’Hara tied for second on par-3 holes. They averaged 3.13 shots per par-3.
