THE GAME
The Houston Coogs and BYU Cougs meet for the seventh time in series history on Wednesday.
The all-time series is tied, 3-3.
This marks the first neutral-site meeting between the two teams.
Houston is in search of its first Phillips 66 Big 12 Tournament win since joining the league.
BYU won the lone regular season meeting, 79-64, against the shorthanded Houston team inside Fertitta Center (Jan. 10).
Houston had six available players against BYU as Amirah Abdur-Rahim, TK Pitts and Briana Peguero had to serve a game suspension following their ejections against Kansas State. Amani Bartlett missed the game due to personal reasons.
LAST TIME OUT
Houston dropped its regular season finale, 72-62, against UCF inside Fertitta Center on Sunday.
Houston had three players in double figures.
TK Pitts recorded 13 points and seven rebounds for her 14th double-digit outing this season.
Amirah Abdur-Rahim scored 12 points and led the team with eight rebounds.
Freshman Kayla King rounded out the scoring for Houston with 10 points.
