Rain returns to North Texas Wednesday, and isn’t likely to leave us for a minute.

Rain chances are present every day for the next seven days, although the intensity of the precipitation is expected to vary. And even past that immediate window, above-normal rain chances persist through the middle of the month, according to the Climate Prediction Center.

After Wednesday’s potentially severe storms, conditions should be calmer Thursday. Showers are still possible, but chances of thunder and other threats should be low, according to the National Weather Service’s Fort Worth office.

Storm risks return Friday, when hail, damaging winds and a tornado or two are all possible in the afternoon and evening. That threat should decrease overnight Friday, but elevated rain chances continue Saturday.
