Two men were shot on Sunday evening near a park in southeast Fort Worth, police said.

The men, who are 28 and 26, were shot about 7:30 p.m. near Carter Park in the 4300 block Carter Park Drive, near East Seminary Drive, according to a Fort Worth police record.

Both victims were taken to a hospital, and their condition was reported to be stable, according to a Fort Worth police spokesperson.

Police detained a suspect; they did not report an arrest.

The men who were fired upon on Carter Park Drive were among eight people who were shot in the city on Sunday. One of those shooting victims died in a parking lot on Northwest 35th Street, and the others were hospitalized.
