Hallym Construction has acquired three golf courses in Austin, Texas. As it is performing in domestic golf course businesses such as Hallim Yongin Country Club, it is trying to expand its business to overseas markets.

According to the investment bank (IB) industry on the 24th, Hallim Construction acquired three “Ever Ranch Golf Club,” “Teravista Golf Club,” and “Palconhead Golf Club” for about $80 million (about 115 billion won). Samil Accounting Corp. advised the acquisition. This is the first time a domestic accounting firm has consulted on the acquisition of a U.S. golf course.

Hallim Construction operates three domestic golf courses: Hallim Gwangneung CC, Yongin CC, and Anseong CC through its affiliates Ilsong Development and Gangneung Leisure Development. During the past COVID-19 period, he has also acquired small and medium-sized golf courses that were in business difficulties and turned into a surplus. At that time, the golf courses acquired were Lake Hills Yongin CC and Anseong CC, and Hallym Engineering & Construction’s performance improved significantly.

The three golf courses acquired by Hallym Construction are located 30 minutes away from downtown Austin, Texas, which is advantageous in terms of accessibility. Magnolia Golf Group is currently operating, with annual sales of about 30 billion won in three locations.
