Community honors Caleb Harris on second anniversary of his death as investigation remains active and hope for closure continues.

CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — Two years have passed since the tragic death of Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi student Caleb Harris, whose disappearance once captured the attention of families across the Coastal Bend and beyond.

Harris went missing from his South Side apartment on Ennis Joslin Road on March 4, 2024.
Months of searching ended heartbreakingly in June when his remains were discovered at a nearby wastewater lift station. The autopsy listed the manner of death as “undetermined,” leaving many questions unanswered.
In the wake of his passing, the local community sought to preserve Harris’ memory. A bridge near his last known whereabouts was dedicated in his honor, now known as Caleb’s Crossing.
The tribute features a banner donated by MVP Banners in Portland, complete with a lifetime repair guarantee, ensuring Harris’ legacy remains visible for years to come.
Despite the passage of two years, the Corpus Christi Police Department says the investigation into Harris’ death remains active, with no evidence of foul play.
