Self-described as a “little deli with big flavor,” Tony’s Italian Delicatessen is proof that the best things in Houston often come in small packages. This local gem has built a massive reputation on its sprawling menu of handcrafted sandwiches, each one stacked high with top-tier meats and premium cheeses. Not only beloved in Houston, the deli has topped regional and national lists – notably topping Yelp’s lists of the best sandwich shops in the U.S.
Presently, the deli has two locations in Houston in Montgomery and Tomball. Soon, the acclaimed sandwich shop plans to open a third location in the city.

As soon as late summer, Tony’s Italian Delicatessen plans to open a 2,000-square-foot deli at the ground floor of City Place 1. Located at 1700 City Plaza Drive, the restaurant feature the deli’s signature sandwiches – from the nationally acclaimed “Sophia” to the “Stallone”.
“We are thrilled to add Tony’s Italian Deli to the City Place tenant mix,” said Andrew Giammalva, Vice President of CDC Houston in a press statement. “Their strong reputation and loyal following are a testament to their high-quality sandwiches, and they bring exactly the kind of energy we want in the community.”
The menu is like a Hall of Fame for Italian icons, featuring cinematic heavy-hitters like the sharp and savory Pesci and the legendary Corleone. But if you’re looking for a sandwich that truly packs a punch, The Stallone is a real standout. This meat-lover’s masterpiece is famous for its addictive quality, keeping Houstonians coming back round after round for another hit of that authentic East Coast soul.

While you’re sure to get your fill with Tony’s “Carnegie” sandwiches – try to save some room for dessert. Its dessert menu includes the likes of Limoncello cake, fresh cannolis, espresso-based tiramisu, and homemade snickerdoodles.
