The wait is nearly over in Dallas for the city’s first Ikea.

The Swedish furniture and home goods store is set to open on Wednesday, March 11, according to a statement. It is in The Shops at Park Lane near NorthPark Center.

The new store, covering about 63,000 square feet, comes in a more compact size than its bigger cousins in Frisco and Grand Prairie. The older sites cover about 300,000 square feet each.

Ikea is investing in new retail around North Texas as it looks to give fans of the brand more options. While it closed a small design planning and online pickup spot in Southlake, Ikea has expanded with two in-store spots at Best Buys in the region. It also has plans for a new store in Rockwall later this year.
